David Adams unknown Huey at a hot refueling point. A minuteman Charlie Model gunship sharing a parking strip w/a D troop Loach & Huey. A pair of flight gloves after losing a fight w/the mold caused by a monsoon season's worth of rain & damp. Short Timer calendar's - the USO would print them up and you would color the days left on your tour till it was time to go home - of course it was a lot more fun when you had a new guy around to hold the colored pencils for you. Mamie Van Doren on a floor show in the (old) Marine Corps Officer's club that we inherited when the marines left Chu Lai and the Army moved in - Myself (David Adams) trying to shoot my balls off w/captured AH-47's.. How could we have lost the war w/such handsome devils fighting it???
